Baseball playoffs

Has the format for AAA baseball playoffs changed this year or do 12 teams still make it with the top 4 getting first round byes? I have heard there might be only 8 teams making it with no byes.

I don't expect a straight answer from SCISA but the format was changed a week ago with no explanation. The Region coaches do not even meet to discuss playoffs, playoff formats, all star selections or anything. SCISA looks shady with lack of information. I'd be willing to bet that several teams would have schedules the last season differently if they knew there would be no byes.

My guess is the format has changed from previous years because of the pitch count rule being in affect this year instead of innings. That's just a guess.

Anybody have any playoff updates?
