This far into the season, who are the favorites to win the state? It looks like Hammond leads the Midlands region, taking down the Highlanders yesterday but what do the other regions look like? Who are the top players from the other parts of the state?

I ran into the P-G tennis coach yesterday and asked him about Hilton Head Prep. P-G played them tough recently and the match was called a tie as it was too dark to continue the last doubles match. I learned yesterday that two of HHP's best players missed that match. I guess that means they are pretty good! I haven't seen any matches this year, but I gather HHP must be the team to beat...

First round of 3A playoffs today - who won? Hammond beat HHC and will play at Pinewood on Wednesday

HHP beat Porter Gaud 5-1 to win state title playing without their #2 player who was out with an injury.

Probably see both teams back next year as Porter Gaud graduates one player and HHP doesn't graduate anybody out of their top 6.
