Well, cyclone, I will try to give a little upstate perspective. The AA region up here looks, well, interesting. On the boys side, after the Day School, OPS and SCA are pretty even. Shannon Forest is much improved and should push the other two this year. Greenwood graduated a lot off of last year's team, but they have a kid scoring a bunch of points every night so you never know. The girls side will be tight. SCA, SDS, and OPS should have a bunch of close games in between them. Not sure if anyone goes undefeated, and the tourney may decide the top spot. GW and SF will compete for the 4th spot, and may push the other three on a given night, depending on matchups.

Any idea about Region 2 in AA from anyone?

Well tomorrow night is PCA's first game in the new region (vs REL) so I don't know what to tell you. The only team we have ever played before currently in the region is Calhoun and they lost Spiers who was the majority of their offense last year (at least against PCA). Generally, I thing the girls team will be very competitive in region. Only lost one starter and a couple of role players from last year. Girls are 9-4.

Boys team is a complete rebuild - 4-8 through 12 games against 3 public school games, 4 SCISA AAA teams, 2 SCISA AA teams and 2 SCISA A teams. Will have a better idea of how we'll stack up in region after a couple of games. The AAA flex region in the Charleston area was brutal for us. Glad we are back playing schools nearer to our size, even if it means we have to travel all over the lower state.

JVG: PCA won, but I don't have the score.
JVB: REL 41 PCA 33. Close game throughout second half, tied with under 3 minutes left in game.

How does First Baptist stack up against Pinewood and Northwood? They seem to be a little behind but they have some impressive wins.

PG and Northwood meet for the first time tomorrow night, any expectation of a close game or is PG just going to roll through this region?

This region should be fairly competitive on both sides. TSA may emerge to be top competition in boys, but calhoun played them close last week and beat Wilson Hall a few weeks ago. REL boys have some decent wins as well. Not sure about Carolina or Williamsburg.

On the girls side, TSA is still one of the favorites to win AA and Calhoun girls seem to be strong with some wins over AAA teams as well (including a 30 pt win over OP). I know that y'all are excited to compete in an all AA region even though it may mean more travel. That flex region was brutal for Boys bball and Volleyball especially.
