RWA looking to start a cross country program this up-coming year. What are some competitive times for 5k/3 mile events - both boy and girl? Thanks

Speaking on the girls side, the best runners in Scisa are around 6:00-6:15 minute pace for 5k. Although that is not the norm for majority of the girls. To be competitive in the A level (RWA) ,your top 4 or 5 girls need to average anywhere from 7:00-8:00 minute pace for 5k. Hopefully they are already running,as cross country season starts end of August and finishes with state meet at Heathwood Hall at end of October. Also you can go on SC Runners site and lookback at history of some meets from last year, good luck.
