The 8-man regions will be announced after April 9th after it is determined how many schools can field varsity football this year. After this it will be decided if there will be only one division this time.

Does anyone know the status of Palmetto Christian? Will they play 8-man?

Also, St. Andrews returned to the Georgia Independent Schools for 2018.

3A needs a few teams well north of I-20. All in the lower half of the state.

region is based on student population, not location. So, if you want some 3A school in the up-state, get some parents to send their kids to Spartanburg Christian, or Oakbrook Prep, or Shannon Christian, or Greenwood Christian (i picked those cause they are the biggest schools in upstate)

Actually just lamenting that I wish there were more teams in general. Ideally, that would include St. Joseph’s and Christ Church. That would be unlikely as it’s cheaper to play the local public schools than drive to Columbia and points west. Not sure what Bishop England’s reasoning is, maybe the same. Their addition would make a great eastern subdivision for 3A. Really wish 3A could get to 12 teams. 10 is as big as I’ve even seen it and that is where it will be next year.

The 2018 3A schedules appear to be ready. Several schools have posted theirs on Twitter (Ben Lippen, Cardinal Newman, Hammond and Heathwood Hall), and MaxPreps has schedules for First Baptist and Augusta Christian.

Talk in Mt. Pleasant is that they (PCA) will play 8-man. Might have to fill with Homeschool teams to get games.
Never be diffrent unless diffrent is much, much better.

Would like to know the thought process that sent Spartanburg Christian to II-A. That’s going to be some long bus rides for them and their region opponents, especially JV kids on a school night. But, which I-A school do you swap them with? I suppose it’s easier to send the Warriors down I-26 to I-95 than send CAMB down US17 through Charleston.
My expressed opinions in no way reflect the official position of Florence Christian School, it's staff, or it's administration.
