8-man

Anyone got the 8-man schedule yet?

Also, anyone heard any info about the freelance teams in the Midlands/upstate?

Waiting patiently on 8 man schedules to go out. Wish there would be more teams in the midlands and upstate.

I guess we'll be waiting until after school is out before the schedules get posted.

I’m assuming at this point the ball is in the court of the SCISA office. Any non-conference games have probably already been scheduled.

EDIT: PAC Panthers are playing Jeff Davis on 8/14 and Faith on 9/14.

talked to RWA coach - he said SCISA is on hold because several schools don't know if they can field a team at this point

At some point they have to draw the line. Any idea when?

I don't see how hard it is to round up 8 players, but apparently some school's just can't do it.

Is Richard Winn staying at 8 man or moving to 11 man?

Some teams have tried just 8 players (my son's team being one) but it can become a safety issue playing both ways for 4 quarters. Hoping to see schedules soon as well.

To play safely the 8-man roster should have at least 12 on the roster. However, 14 would be an ideal number. W.W. King started the 2015 season with 11 players on the roster. The Knights lost the quarterback in game one. They played game six with only 7 players. That game was played so Jefferson Davis would have their homecoming game. The last four games were forfeited.
