Timberland High School Standout Suspened from SC State

Great anticipation greeted Rockarius King's arrival at South Carolina State last winter.

The 5-7, 170-pound Shrine Bowl running back out of Timberland High School finished fifth all-time in S.C. High School League history in career rushing yards with 6,343 and was seen as an heir apparent to Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference and school all-time leading rusher Will Ford.

After redshirting last season, however, King was noticeably absent from Bulldog preseason practices. With head coach Oliver "Buddy" Pough or any of the assistant coaches declining to discuss King's status, his absence became more conspicuous by the day.
