Are they going to build a stadium with the new school or keep playing at Wofford?

They’re building a new campus with a new stadium close to the Home Depot wayyy on the east side on hwy 29. Should have a redraw of the district lines and of course it’ll be an injection into the fans veins but Dorman and Gaffney will tell you that new digs don’t necessarily translate into more wins or titles. I predict it’ll have less of an impact than people expect.

I still say that a Broome merge is on the horizon.

I do not think that will ever happen, District 3 Broome does not want this.

Jonesville and Union didn’t want it either....
How many high schools do you need within a 2 mile radius?

Big difference, Union was on school district, Spartanburg and Broome are in different school districts. Broome cannot help that Spartanburg is building their high school on the far east of the school district. All of the schools serving Spartanburg High are west of it.

Union did want the merge - to keep them in 3A (else they would have fallen to 2A). It's only Jonesville that didn't want the merge. When you take away a towns school, you are destroying part of it's identity.
