HOping yall bring it back to the upstate cause its been a while since the baseball title has been in the upstate right
Northwestern won the baseball title last year. Dorman is by far the biggest school in the upstate by at least 600 to 700 hundred more students than the next closest in the upstate which may be Boiling Springs or Byrnes. The schools closest to Dorman enrollment are all in the lowerstate mostly Charleston area, Sumter and Carolina forest in the myrtle beach area. Columbia area and York county/Rock Hill area are exploding with growth but there are new schools popping up in those areas it seems every year keeping some of these schools from becoming completely dominant in mutiple sports. Dorman having that big of enrollment advantage over all the upstate schools should keep all there sports teams in the state championship hunt.

Don't forget Dorman won state titles in Girls Volleyball and Boys Cross Country this year as well.

It's worth pointing also that Dorman made the playoffs in all 22 High School League sanctioned athletic events this school year. Only other school to do this was Wando who finished ahead of them in AD cup point standings this year.

River Bluff's opening has not yet impacted Lexington's athletic success. Not sure of it's impact on White Knoll. Nation Ford and Fort Mill still maintain high rankings in AD cup point standings. Now when the 3rd Fort Mill high school opens will we see a drop off in one or two of those programs I'm not sure. I do agree though that if there was still one giant Fort Mill High School they would probably be competing for more state titles in multiple sports as would Lexington. Fort Mill HS has only played in 2 state finals in the last two years (Girls Lax in 2018 and Girls Swim in the 2017-17 school year). Lexington has competed in 5 state finals in the last two years. White Knoll did just win a state title in girls softball this week however.

But we won the Golf title this year at Gaffney and the last time we did that we also won the state in football and basketball the following year so thats a good sign. Congratulations on the title Dorman.
