Summer 2018

Postby BSFootballDad » Fri Jun 01, 2018 1:53 pm

Well the school year is pretty much over and most, if not all teams have had their spring practices. Now is time for the summer workouts and preparations that our teams go through and get ready for. Of course everyone likes their team, but the level of play in some of these regions is incredible. I know that the boys up north in the Rock Hill area region love their guys but in the last let's say 10 years (if not longer) the road to Columbia seems to go through Spartanburg/Cherokee Co or Dutch Fork. Guys graduate and new ones are standing there to fill their spots, but we all honestly know that it is almost impossible to predict who will be "good". From what I remember, even in a "bad" year Friday nights are still a toss up in Spartanburg/Cherokee Co. As a dad, my wish is always for my son to play with high character. We all know that doesn't always happen but that is the wish. Secondly, I hope that all of "our boys" have a safe season. Nothing like seeing an injury that takes a young man off the field. As for my Bulldogs, I saw a lot of good things in the short amount of live plays in their spring game and may have surprise or two waiting on some of their opponents. :o :o

City of Rock Hill facts, not York County and some other county. The road to the state title has run through this city quite often, during the last 10 years

South Pointe titles 2008, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017
Runner-up 2010

Northwestern titles 2010, 2013, 2015
Runner-up. 2008, 2009, 2012
9 State titles
4 Runner-up

One city, not two counties and Irmo

Hopefully we can change that in the next few years.

I will agree with you TV that the city of Rock Hill also needs to be on the list.

The population in our area is exploding. I look for quite a few schools to step up their game.

Thanks for clarifying Trojan. Its the city of Rock Hill not the Rock Hill area. In spite of their lack of state title success and sending kids to the league like Rock Hill does consistently the other towns don't want to be known as Rock Hill area schools.
