There is a very active search in place. However, the district will have to consider who will and who will not sign their contracts for the next school year to be able to know what classes need to be filled. Coaches often have spouses that would need a teaching job as well. There's not a big rush to get positions filled. It's better to take the time to get the best available.

Most coaches have to teach also (there are a few well known exceptions). And some of those coaches have a spouse who is also a teacher. If a man wants to come to Byrnes (or any other school) from a distance away there needs to be an opening for both the coach and his/her spouse to have jobs in the district.
