Major applicants have interviewed. 1 has won 4 state titles as a coordinator.
1 is a former successful head coach who is now at a successful program in a neighboring county.
A third is a typical Greenville county candidate.

The one not interviewing is their great OC. I cannot believe that!

So we should expect a decision this week? It'll be good to see what Southside can do with a coach that wants to be there.

If right coach gets hired there this could be a good to great program in a year or two. S.S has a ton of talented kids! Can remember a few years ago when Coach Porter was there.

Southside went to the playoffs 4 out of the 7 years while Prince was there with one year finishing 7-3 and ranked 10th. Prince and his staff changed that program around

Any word on who will get this job? Heard the final candidates interviewed last week and the candidates were all extremely qualified so Southside should end up with a really good coach.

I thought Prince did a good job at Southside. Probably as good as can be done. Don’t put much stock in getting in the playoffs as under the current playoff system, anyone with a pulse gets in. But Southside is a tough job. Not much emotional, or financial, support. Good assistants would help, but most assistants are looking to avoid Greenville County for higher paying districts if possible.
