Does Carolina Academy have a chance Friday against Thomas Heyward or is it destined to be TH vs. Pee Dee for the 1A championship?

I think THA has no issue getting to final. Pee Dee may have some trouble with Bethesda.

Notice the 3 upsets in 2A...

I think the only team that can beat Thomas Heyward is Thomas Heyward. The Rebels are trying to shake some negative history though and that has jinxed them a few times over the years.

All those AA upsets trace directly to the cancelled games and the way SCISAA elected to handle that in Region II. If OP and Hilton Head Prep played, a game I believe OP would have won at that time, HHP ends up 4th instead of 1st while JPII would have moved up to a home game and less road "upsets" would have resulted. Not much matter in the end as with First Baptist out of the way AA is there for Trinity-Byrnes to take.

It is interesting how SCISA just moved on past those games when they obviously were pretty important like you said. The SCHSL didn't get it perfect, but at least they extended the season one week to allow for most games to be made up. Both organizations have had plenty of time to see that there needs to be some kind of change in how they handle these situations since there has been cancelled games in at least 3 of the last 4 years.
